Folks,
Can anyone help??? My cable company informed me that as of June 1st 1999 all cable would have to be feed through their new fiber optics lines. OK I can deal with tha[since there's not much worthwhile on TV anyway]but my question is this. They have informed me that my HBO subscription [that I have now through my "cable-ready" TV with no converter box]will now need a converter box!!!! If I have to use a box, I don't want to use the "garbage" that they "rent" you so I'm asking anyone if there is an alternative????? [besides a satellite dish which I am seriously contemplating!!!!]. My cable source is in Yonkers,NY called "Cablevision" Thanks for any help.
