I am very interested to hear that you have such a well equipped digital cable box. My local cable company, Suburban, are allegedly rolling out their digital cable service later this summer. After persistent enquiries by me they finally confessed that their digital cable boxes will not have digital audio outputs nor s-video outputs. They blame the manufacturer, General Instrument, who, they say, have replied that "there is no demand" for these features.

Can you do me a big favour and tell me who your cable company is and what brand of digital box you have? - you can send me an e-mail if you would rather not reply in the open forum.

I am hoping that ATT's recent takeover of Suburban will improve things greatly and hasten the roll out of cable modem service which is long overdue in this neck of the woods (Newcastle County, Delaware).
