Video Essentials DVD (ignore post below)

I second that opinion. I ordered my copy last week and spent a little time with it over the weekend. Yes, VE can't compete at all on the audio side.
I'm looking forward to trying out the speaker level calibration tones to see how they compare with the built in tones on my DC1.
On the video side, Ovation has made calibration much easier to use than VE.
A big plus too is the easy navigation to any test pattern you want. I've always found it hard to get to specific things on VE.

I do, however, miss those wonderful full motion video clips on VE. Too bad
Avia doesn't have anything like that.
