Suburban bought out Comcast in Newcastle County, DE, a year or two ago. Suburban may be bad but Comcast were even worse.

I am told that Suburban has the necessary cable systems in place for digital cable, but I was stupefied when they finally told me that the digital boxes would not have s-video or digital outputs, even though they were insisting that they were "Dolby Digital" boxes. When I told them that if they supplied me with a box like that and described it as Dolby Digital I would be reporting them to the local and federal regulators, they were quite taken aback.

What really amazed me was that the technical guys did not seem to understand that to get a DD signal to a DD decoder you need a digital connection - I gave up after 3 months of banging my head against a brick wall. If my employer's customer service was as bad, we would be quickly out of business - talk about monopoly power....
