help with digital coax, please !

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95):

I am looking for an 8 meter digital coax to connect my DVD audio to my amp. I stopped by Bryn Mawr Stereo to get their advice, and the guy told me to get an 8 meter Monster Cable M1000V - digital coax video cable, said it was the same cable used in its audio counterpart, which he did not have in stock. Is this true? Is there a difference between M1000V and the digital audio cable, will I hear the difference. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
