I second that (cheap and good gold-plated RCA with shielded cable vs expensive gold-plated blah-blah-blah).

Also, having owned Monsters for some time, they are not very kind to equipment jacks as they are TIGHT!

If U frequently re-configure your setup or change cables, unless your amp/DAC/whatever has very sturdy RCA jacks, stay away from Monster.

Having said that, they are designed NOT to fall off easily. If this is what U look for, Monsters are good.
