Coaxial digital or Optical digital?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0):

I am looking for the best way to connect my components to my Yamaha DSP-A1. My CD Changer and DSS only have Toslink optical outs, so I am limited to using only those. But, my Sony DVP-S300 DVD player has both Coaxial and Optical outs. Which one should I use and why?
