Coaxial digital or Optical digital?

PMJI, but from a MECHANICAL perspective, the coax (RCA) is clearly the SUPERIOR cable. Optical cables, while totally immune from any/all EMI noise disturbances, are more "fragile" than coax just because of the nature of fiber optic materials. IOW: you can "double-over" (sharply bend, etc.) a coax cable with no ill-effects; try it with a fiber-optic and you'll be heading to the store for another one...
