Interconnect Impedance

The reason for this is to ensure that everyone is working to the same specification and ensure best possible signal transmission. Having said that, I suggest that you buy yourself 4 Radio Shack 75ohm video cables, the ones with the gold plated RCA plugs - they meet the specs for both. Use one for digital audio and the other three for your component video connections and you'll be set. I do not think it's worth paying anywhere near the $100 for Monster type digital/video internconnects. The problem with using regular audio internconnects is that there is no standard specification for them, so their impedance and other electrical characteristics can vary wildly, so I would advise against using them for digital audio/video. Not that you will do your gear any harm using them, but after all the spec is there for a reason so why not stick to it?
