The Marantz RC2000-MKII will solve your problem. It has 8 direct buttons with 4 different pages which can provide up two 32 functions of each device/component you own. You can name these buttons up to 4 characters to closely match to your original remote. And definitely it won't hurt/damage your equipment but giving you a very pleasant environment to play with your system. It works well for me.
