satellite speakers for ht and music

I currently have a set of Polk RTA 11TLs that I am happy with, but with a 1yr old it is time to go our seperate ways. I am looking for info on a good set of satellite speakers, 5 and a sub, that will be good for HT and music. I would like to get a set that are small enough to mount off the ground. I would like to spend less that 1K. I like the small size of the Bose system but I understand that there are a number of better speakers out there for less money. Any suggestions?
