Matching speakers for Yamaha 590

I have a Yahama 590 Prologic amp. I wish to buy some new speakers for it (ATM I have a pair of "Sakai" ones, don't laugh!). I need a whole set and am on a tight budget.

I've looked at speakers from Kef, Tannoy and Mission, but please note that I have *no* floor space and can therefore not accomodate floorstanders.

My budget is £550 and I'll be upgrading to Dolby Digital next year. I mainly listen to rock/pop and watch lots of films on LD.

Any suggestions? (preferably available in the UK so I can have a listen)
