John,

I have seen them in photos but never in person (whew!). What I have seen is a 12" three way using the same driver components you find in a cheap autosound box system intended for behind the seat in a truck or hatchback rear compartment. Cheap carpet finish and drivers that really would make a KLH system look good.

Actually I hate to compare them to KLH - at least with KLH you know what you are getting... a low cost speaker that rocks, sort of a poor man's CV.

I was once approached by a couple sleezy characters in a white van selling those speakers - I was offended! Do I look *that* stupid?

(please no comments from the peanut gallery)

Alan

: Alan,

: << Put bluntly they are a low quality product that is similar in quality to the affordable offerings sold under the KLH, Technics and Yamaha lines offered in the US market - and I would rather buy those as at least you know you got what you paid for - and the finish isn't cheap carpet. Avoid them.>>

: From what I understand, Alan, the Accoustic Response speakers are not even up to those standards. They are a few/couple really cheap drivers in a large extremely poorly built box. Even the novice hates the sound of them-not something you can really say about the offerings from the above companies.

: Oh, btw, the story around here is "My boss accidentally put an extra pair of these on the truck and Ill sell them to you CHEAP!"
