Tech question on bi-wiring, urgent. A normal 8ohm load when singly wired presents a total load of 8ohms (tweeter and woofer together). When you split the two elements by bi-wiring you still present an 8ohm load to the amplifier because you are using the same amplification stage to drive both elements. If one were to bi-amplify - which is far more meaningful them bi-wiring - then you'd have to take into account the impedance of each element. You can safely use your system as it stands now. Any amplifier can bi-wire a loudspeaker, nothing special happens as you're only connecting two wires to the same output so the B&K and Rotel you're considering will also be fine.
