What's your room size? Do you listen to movies 50% of the time and music the other 50% or do you enjoy one over the other?

Some manufacturers that you should definitely be looking into are M&K (my personal favorite), Definitive Technology, Paradigm, NHT (very musical subs), ACI (Titan subwoofer), and Yamaha (on the lower end).

I have an M&K MX-125 Mk II that I paid $899 (a steal) for. This sub is very nice and I couldn't be happier. Give the MX-105 a listen if you really like movies and aren't too concerned about music.
