Speaker/Sub wiring connections

Help!!! I need some assistance connecting my HT system. I have an Onkyo 656,Panasonic A110, Paradigm MiniMon fronts, cc350 center, titan rears and a ps1200 sub. I need some advice on connecting the front speakers and the sub. The receiver has a sub out and I could set the fronts to "small" and wire the sub directly. But I would like to know if I would get better sound using the sub crossover filter and wiring the fronts through the sub while setting the fronts to large in the receiver ? I would love some input before I go purchase more speaker wire and go through the hassle of moving my entertainment center (3 person job).
