center channel for Infinity Overture 3's

I have a pair of OVTR3 speakers for my main spkrs and am looking to add the OVTR1's for the rears. I have been given conflicting reccomendations for the center speaker, either another OVTR1 or a CC3 which basically is a OVTR1 w/o the powered sub. Do I need/want the powered sub on a center channel? Thanks for any advice or opinion.
