Phil,

One thing I know to be true about Theil speakers, that you never read, is their appitite for high current power. You need lots of high quality power to drive them. Keep this in mind when shopping. They just wont come alive without it.

The one critisism of the Theils that I used to hear all the time, one of brightness has been eliminated. They are one of the most velvety smooth speakers Ive ever heard. OUTSTANDING imaging and soundstaging too.

I have not heard the new B&W, though Ive seen it severl times and I understand that if you can stand the sight of them (personally, I think they are neat looking!), they are a wonderful speaker. B&Ws always seem to be kind to electronics.

John

: I'm interested in any comments on the performance of the above mentioned speakers. I'm in the process of evaluating high-end speakers and would welcome any insight into the speakers I've already mentioned or any other manufacturer?
: Thank you for your comments.
