Need help with MK V-125THX sub input... Posted by Nigel Pond [SysOp] [IP: 153.35.13.185] on January 01, 1999 at 13:29:46: In Reply to: Need help with MK V-125THX sub input... posted by Mark Sung on December 30, 1998 at 00:19:47: : I recently purchased a MK V-125THX subwoofer. My setup is as follows, NHT SuperOnes for LCR, and SuperZeros for surrounds. I'm driving them with a HK AVR65. : Now, my problem is that the HK receiver will send LFE below 100Hz to the subwoofer output. BUT, the subwoofer has a low pass filter @ 80Hz. The specs on the sub says that it has a frequency response from 20Hz to 125Hz. How do I get my sub to respond to the frequencies in the 80Hz to 100Hz range? : Thanks Can you defeat the internal crossover of the M&K sub? From what I have read of their subs, the THX models have either an input that bypasses the internal x-over or a switch to defeat it. That would be logical since when attached to a THX processor the processor does the x-ing over at 80. If you can do this with your sub, then everything from 100 on down will go to the sub.
