A H/K should drive a 4 ohm speaker just fine as it is set - however just keep an eye on the temperature... if you find the top becoming quite warm, switch it to the 4 ohm mode.

: i have a HKavr85 which is set to 8ohms. Is is safe to hook up speakers with 4 and 6 ohms to the reciever? The HK tech said it should be fine....any input is helpful.
