Faiz,

YIKES! I don't like the sound of this setup. Check something for me... disconnect one of the surround speakers and see (listen) if the other speaker goes silent. If so, you are okay as they are wired in series, which is common with many surround sound receivers. As for the center, I am uneasy about this and suggest you insert a 8 ohm non-inductive resistor (availible from Radio Shack) to save your center amp. A 3.3 ohm is another option if you can locate it. My worries are due to my experince of finding the center and surround amplfier sections not being as "beefy" as the main left and right.

Let me know what you run into on the surround channel.

Alan

: I have similar, if not worse, problem with Atran. My Technics AV710 is now driving 2-4 Ohm Front, 1-4 Ohm Center, and 2-4 Ohm Surround speakers. Technics' manual says that 4 Ohm Front is OK, but stated only 8-16 Ohm for Surround and/or Center. Anybody can help me whether the above will create a mess to my home theater system or not. Since the speakers are quite expensive what would be the best workaround to avoid disaster in my system.
