Anybody knows how to improve AM signal? Since I assume you mean a Home Theatre receiver, some of them will not be acceptable. Also, if you live in a building with a lot of metal, like a high rise apartment building, you may just be plain out of luck. 1.) Try turning the receiver. The antenna may be copper wire wrapped around a ferrite bar. If this is the case, you will find that reception improves dramatically if you turn the unit 45-90 degrees. 2.) If the reciever has an external antenna jack, just run a plain copper wire out from it for several feet around the room. 3.) Try repositioning the receiver closer to a window. -- Probably not the best idea. These are the common ways to improve AM reception. If none of these work, try buying one of the circular antenna coils that you place near your radio and tune it to approximately the frequency you are trying to hear. Good luck -- AM is still definitely worth hearing, IMHO.
