Dave,

I am trying to get WXRT right now... however here in Fort Wayne we have a local station at 93.3 and another weaker station at 92.9 - squeezes out 93.1. I tried on the main system (Sony ES tuner), the Carver receiver and the (eh hem) Bose Wave. My outdoor FM antenna needs service - must be corrosion at a connecton and this is not exactly the time to fix it.

Looking though the RS catalog they still offer the antenna I was thinking of. Stock number 15-2163 $19.95 - I had one of them many years ago and picked up Q95 out of indy just fine most of the time. Now this is not a good looking thing - and I would definitely buy it with the option of returning it if it does not do the trick. Maybe if you can get enough signal, you can install it in the attic so it is hidden away.

As for a good looking antenna route, all of them are amplified so you will have overload problems with your local stations. Just think of those soothing WXRT waves coming in and you won't think a thing of that ugly antenna!

Good luck!

Alan

: Where do I go about finding a directional antenna like that? I tried Radio Shack and they had non-directional which meant the station from the next town over to the west overran the signal.

: By the way, 120 miles north of Indy... just past my old stomping grounds in Muncie. You can probably get the station I want - WXRT 93.1 in Chicago!
