Polk tweeters

I am thinking of buying a pair of Polk's powered front speakers but have heard several people at my local store comment on the tweeters being weak and burning out easily. Has anyone else heard such a thing? I'm sure any driver can become damaged with misuse, but I keep hearing the Polk tweeters are especially fragile.
