Infinity CC3 or AT 253.1C

I purchased a Cambridge SoundWorks Center Channel Plus. I wasn't really impressed with it, so I returned it. I am now in need of another one.
Current equipment:
HK AVR75
Canton Plus S speakers (Two satellites attached to a non-powered woofer.
No surrounds as yet.

At this point I am not sure if and when I would purchase new speakers, or what they might be. I am new to the HT world, but reading around, it looks like the recommendation would be to buy something with a Tonal adjustment. I have found two that meet this criteria and fit my current budget (around $200).

Anyone have any experience with either of these? Any other suggestions would be welcome.
