I decided on a Klipsch setup and just received all my 5.1 speakers. Also purchased a Kenwood 2080 received and
toshiba 3190 DVD player.

However, the Klipsch group of speakers you choose are not meant to go together.
If you get the 10.5 towers for the front you need to get the matching C5 center channel. You can cheat on the rears and
basically get any bookshelves you like that are similar. Here is what I went with:

10.5 towers for front
C5 center channel
3.1 bookshelves for rear
KSW300 sub

I had just signed up for my shop4 membership and heard a few bad stories about them but had already ordered the receiver from them. As a result i got a little spooked and bought all the Klipsch speakers from Uncles Stereo which has rave reviews by people on this board (www.unclestereo.com). Uncles was a bit more expensive but when mentioning shop4 prices they almost michaed them .. ended up paying $100 more total for the the towers, center, and rears. However, my receiver from shop4 arrived within 2 weeks with no problems and they had great customer service for me. I have actually contacted shop4 several more times and my experiences were great anfd you cant beat their prices. Go for shop4 !!!! Also, if you need something shop4 doesnt show give them a call and they will find the item for you at a great price. I did this on a Toshiba TP61H95 rear projection TV which is locally about $3500 plus tax... shop4 could get it for $2995 delivered to my door.I bought the KSW300 sub from Bjorns Audio/Video in San Antonio, Tx. for $500. All together I spent only $1600 on speakers to my door. All three of the places I bought stuff from do mail shipping and had great service.

Good luck

: : what do you all think ??
: : HT is main priority although would like to have it perform decently for music too.

: Hi Neil,

: I just bought the Energy Take 5 set from ARM Innovations. I considered all the other places that sold them (like Shop4) but in the end went with ARM because they were more personal with my purchase and my needs (talk to Tony 1-207-439-5360 or email:Pfloor1@aol.com) The Take 5 speakers were $350 and the Subs at $230 - no membership fees, just the shipping, which for me was big because I had them shipped from Maine (where ARM is) to San Francisco and then on to the Philippines (where I am). I bought the Yamaha RX-V592 which was a great set up with the Take 5s. They are very good with HT (they shine with AC-3)and surprisingly very good with Music too. You can't beat the quality - and size - of the speakers for that price. Good luck and happy hunting!
