Canadian Subs: Axiom, Mirage, Paradigm, PSB??? [ Follow-ups ] [ Post Follow-up ] [ SMR Forum 2 - Loudspeakers and Sub-woofers Archive 1 ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Gin Wizenhymmer [IP: 142.150.99.15] on January 18, 1999 at 11:33:55: In Reply to: Canadian Subs: Axiom, Mirage, Paradigm, PSB??? posted by Steve H on January 15, 1999 at 22:42:06: Thanks for your advice Steve, I ended up buying the PSB Century Subsonic II. It actually has a 12" driver (not 10" as previously stated), 125 w. I got it for $535 and I'm pretty happy with it. I should mention that although the Radio Shack speakers were cheap (centre channel was only $60 and the pair of rears were only $80), they do sound okay. Just wondering if anyone else has any comments about the importance of the center channel for Home Theatre? thanks, : I've listend to only two of the subs you listed. The Mirage and the PSB.....Although they were in different speaker setups, I found the Mirage to satisfy my ears and chest best. : : Hi, : : I'm looking at buying a subwoofer to go with my current system that is being used for movies and regular listening. : : I have a Yamaha A/V receiver: RX-V480 : : I'm considering these Canadian subs: : : Can. prices: : : Any suggestions? : : Gin
