: I have a copule of old 3-way loud speakers with a frequency range of
: 32-25,000 Hz. I just purchased a YST-SW150 subwoofer and was wondering where to set the high freq. cut-off at?
: The control on the yst-sw150 goes from 40-140hz. Also the crossover freq. on the old speakers states it as 2,500 Hz.
: Confused.........Help!

Firstly, the crossover frequency on your 3-way speakers of 2500Hz should be for the internal crossover network, and as such you don't really need to worry about it. As regards the subwoofer, a general rule of thumb is to start at the lowest setting and work up until you are happy with the sound (full range without being "boomy"). I should think that 60-80Hz would be OK, but it all depends on your set-up. Hope that helps!
