I have the SuperOnes setup in a relatively large room similar in size to yours. These are very dynamic speakers with an impressive ability to fill this room with sound. Though they do have somewhat low sensitivity, they can perform beautifully with a receiver outputting 100W/channel. I have heard the DT ProCinema and they might be more suited to your room if you want a little more ambience and envelopment. YOu should listen to each speaker you're interested in with a similarly sized room. Get the speakers home to audition them if you have to and TAKE NOTES as you listen. It is difficult to compare speakers when everything about a demo can be different from one test to the next. As often as possible, use the receiver you would like to purchase to drive the speakers. I have the Pioneer VSX-07, which was wired through some SuperOnes in the store. Ultimately, the precision in the sound from the NHTs is what prompted me to buy them. I was not so concerned with going too high end with the speakers as I was with getting a nice receiver. So, I splurged and spent the $1200 on the receiver and only $850 for 5 Superones. This is a very nice system for around $2k. However, I am still lacking a sub. I have been looking at something that will really shake the house and I am thinking I will have to spend another $1000 to do this. Therefore, if you really need to be "< $2000", then you may want to go with a package deal that includes a decent sub. I suggest you browse through the back issues of Home Theater mag to read the reviews of these HT package deals.
