Energy Take5 vs. Mirage AVS500

I've noticed quite a few favorable reviews by people who picked up the Energy Take5 HT system. I had the opportunity to preview the Mirage AVS500 system at a local dealer and read elsewhere that the AVS500s are basically an OEM variant of the Take5s, but less bright, with a slightly larger tweeter.

Did anyone happen to preview the two systems side-by-side? I was quite impressed by the AVS500s, but if the technology is virtually the same, the dealer pricing definitely didn't reflect it -- the AVS500s were about $200 more with an 8" sub.
