Receiver suggestions

I recommend sticking with brands such as Yamaha, Onkyo, Harmon Kardon and Denon in the receiver market. Sadly receivers like your little Pioneer is not only a dissapointment - it's a throw-away when it breaks! I was just thinking today as how we promote recycling - yet why do we buy receivers, CD players, etc that are throw-ways? DUH!

: I am currently using a Pioneer VSX-405 cheap 100watts dolby PL to power a JBL Gsub 10, Velodyne F-series 12 inch sub, and 2 klipsch 1.1's. I beleive i get some of the distortion from the crappy reciever, as someone suggested, so i need a good one capable of at least putting out 75 Very clean watts, with a sub out, and below $500. Any help appreciated.
