The Mission 70As subwoofer retails for $500USD and most stores that carry Mission do not discount much. By the way the 70As2 retails for $1000USD. By comparison the Yamaha YST-SW300 and '150 both carry a suggested retail price of $400 USD and is discounted at least some and often quite a bit depending on the local market. I am suspect of the two models having the same price, this could be an error in the information listed in the just released Audio Magazine annual equipment directory. Sadly I have found many errors... and I really have not looked hard!

OH - the lowest cost REL subwoofer listed is the Q-200e at $1000 USD. The others with names for model identification are much higher and go up fast!

I think I will stick to my Titan :)

: What does the 70As retail for over there (approximately)? The list price is £300 here, which is fairly modest. Compare that to £400 for the Tsunami TS210 and it's wonderful value.

: Another brand that may be relatively more expensive over there is REL, their smaller models may be worth auditioning also. There could be some Q/C problems at the moment though, judging from the feedback I'm receiving.
