I own a set of Take 5s and they are very good speakers for their price. I replaced two sets of Bose Am 7 and am5. They even cost less than the Bose and I like them better. The Energy Take 5s have some circuitry in them to limit output below 80 hz so it would not be logical to send full range to any of them. So on your Denon select small speakers and direct all bass to subwoofer. A full range signal to the Energy take 5 would not hurt them if for some reason if you wanted to. Do not connect sub to speakers connect to sub out of Denon. The Take 5s are rated to take 100 watts but any speaker can be damaged thru abuse of volume and not enough power as oposed to too much. 80 watts is plenty of power unless you listen very very loud. I personnally would mount the rear speakers on the sidewalls about 6 feet up maybe angled down a bit with the fronts not higher or lower than the level of your TV screen. Fronts at ear level when sitting. The rears could not really be used full range because of the circuitry unless you had an additional sub just for your rears. 95% of people have their rears set to small. It is even somewhat debatable to have full range back there. I am sure that 5% may argue this. trust me it will sound awesome. Your room is sorta inbetween medium and large. i think I would go with the 10inch Energy sub if you can afford it. If possible I would put the TV on one of the 18 foot walls. The Denon 2700 and Take 5 will make a very good combo. For someone just starting you have made some good decisions. Floyd
