: I am thinking about using a powered sub for the front speakers, and a powered sub for the rear. I will be using small speakers for main and surrounds,so I would be using the high pass filter on both subs. The power will be from a Dolby Digital receiver at 150 watts x 5 I have three subs,a DT Powerfield 15, a Paradigm PS 1000, and an M&K V-75. I also thought about using two subs for the front and one for the rear.
: Has anyone tried this? If not, why wouldn't this work. Should I place the rear sub along the wall(middle of the room) or more toward the back of the room. I don't want the bass to be localized. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Posts or emails will be welcomed. Thanks

I am using a front and rear sub on my dsp-a1. What I have is my main sub(YST-SW300) hooked up to line level. My rear sub is a Polk Audio PSW1210 which I have the rear speaker levels hooked up to and my rear satellites hooked up to the rear sub.

Summary:

Front sub I am using line level.
Rear sub; speaker level outs on amp to speaker level ins on rear sub. speaker level outs on sub to rear satellite speakers. This works good for me.

I hoped this helped.
