4 ohm speaker to 8 ohms using 4 ohm resistor

While there is nothing keeping you from adding a 4 ohm resistor in series with your speaker, a 4 ohm resistor with good power handling capability is expensive. Maybe running your system using a lot of caution is a possibility?
