Chris,

Multiple filtering is a bad idea, as you've already learnt. The crossover in the Lexicon together with the crossover in the Titan will interact to a certain degree and you're probably introducing just as much distortion as you save by not using a single, higher (80Hz) crossover.

You don't have Dolby Digital with the CP3+ so we only have to concern ourselves with music and Dolby Pro-logic.

Therefore I'm going to suggest another option. Turn the sub-woofer off within the Lexicon and run your front left and right 'speakers full-range. Hook the Titan up via the high-level outputs of your amplifiers and get a high-pass filter from ACI at the value you want, about 50-60Hz. Drop Mike Dzurko a line and he'll supply you with the filter - minimal cost.

Stuart.
