I know you are probably correct, but how does a SW monitor out with a low pass filter of 80-90 Hz cause distortion with a SW set with it's own x-over at say 60 Hz?

It would seem that SW would not "see" anything above 60 Hz because its filter cuts all signal above that frequency.
