:: I am a little confused - does this mean sharing (splitting) the main front and left amp outputs between the front speakers and the sub? So, the filter would allow frequencies below 50-60 Hz to reach the sub, but then what about the sub x-over? What should it be set to? Jeez, this is confusing.::

As a Titan owner and a former CP3 user, I think I may be able to clear things up for you.

A: You CAN use the titan in conjuntion with the crossover in the Lex, just turn the high pass filter on the Titan all the way up and it will be out of your way.

B: I still highly suggest that you follow Stuart's advice, using the subwoofer in conjunction with the front right and left speaker and NOT the sub-out. This always worked better for me when using a DPL processor (A Dolby Digital processor is a different story however). Particularly on music, it just makes for a better blend.

When you use the high pass filters supplied from ACI, as suggested by Stuart, you are using apples with apples- it was all designed as a sytem to work well together. Mixing speakers, with processor's filters, and with subwoofers filters may allow for too much room for error and cetainly puts too many components in the signal chain.

My advise is to get the high pass filters from ACI ($30 or $40 a pair is all), and use them right before your power amp. This will remove the bass going to your main speakers.

Then, using a "Y" connector, connect your outputs on the Lex to both the power amp (via the filters) and to the subwoofer.

If you are still confused, its because you haven't gotten into it yet, its actually very easy once you have all the pieces in front of you.

If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to Email me directly. Sometimes I dont get around here as frequently as I should!

Regards,
John
