Dolby Digital RF should be carried in the same way most other radio frequencies are, by shielded 75ohm coaxial cable. In fact, Dolby Digital RF can be invasive so keep the links as short as possible and double-shielded cable wouldn't hurt.

It just so happens that "digital" interconnect cables meet all these requirements, so yes, that's what you should be using, not standard line-level interconnects.
