Additional Speaker for Domestic Tranquility

Using Mozilla/2.0 (compatible; MSIE 3.02; Update a; Windows 95):

You could buy an active speaker (i.e., built-in amp) and use the pre-out directly to the speaker.

There are also some RF transmitters and active speaker receivers with which you could do a wireless setup. This would yield inferior sound quality in the kitchen, but has no wires through the walls, etc.

With either if these suggestions you will need a power outlet near the speaker and a power cord running to the speaker. Or lots of batteries.
