Craig:

I use my Lexicon DC-1 to run a 7 channel set-up of all Kef speakers: a Q95 for the centre and six Q75s - 2 in the front, 2 directly to my sides, & 2 behind me.

Most of my listening is to music, not movies. I bought the Kefs because of how well they throw a sound stage. The imaging is simply maaah-velous! Even with just two speakers, you can always precisely place the instruments & vocals. They also sound nice with movies; they're not as foward sounding as many "home theatre" speakers, which really helps tame many bright soundtracks.

And for convenience, all the speakers in the Q series are sheilded. Best of all, they don't cost a lot, making them a great value. If you plan on auditioning a pair, DON'T toe them in towards you. They create a better soundstage if you fire them straight into the room, past your shoulders. They sound best (to me) spread really w i d e apart. Try it; you'll get a huge soundstage, with no sonic "hole" in the middle.

Happy Listening,
Sanjay
