Rear surrounds for NHT 2.5is

But if you're considering the SuperTwo's for rear speakers just to take advantage of the fact that they are nearly full range, then I would suggest that you also consider another pair of 2.5i's instead, if that's feasible. I considered both the 2.5i and the SuperTwo models for rear speakers, and I just sprung for a pair of 2.5i's to match the timbre of my 3.3's and AC-1 in the front and my 1.5's on the sides of my 7.1 channel setup. Previously I was using a different brand rear speaker pair, but now the timbre match improvement and overall improvement to the quality of the sound with this new combination is very noticeable. Of course the modestly-sized 2.5i's are still a bit larger than the SuperTwos, if you need to consider that. If you don't feel the need for that much low-end extension (below 53Hz) for rear speakers, then the 1.5's should be all that you would need. I only opted for the 2.5i's to take advantage of my Lexicon processor's ability to utilize full range surround speakers. Either way, my vote is for timbre matching and the higher quality tweeter of the 2.5i/1.5/AC-1 series. Hope this helps, -Les
