Boston Acoustic or Boston Acoustic

Sounds like you're in the same place with regard to your speaker decision. Are you ears writing checks your wallet can't cash? If $240 is more than you want to spend and the difference in sound between CRs and VRs isn't such that it is worth busting the budget, I'd say your decision is made for you. On the other hand, $240 over the 5 to 10 year life of your system (at least I know I'd keep it at least that long) isn't much on an amortized basis. You're probably going to live a long time with the decision you are about to make. If you simply can't decide but feel compelled to buy now anyway, another thing you can do is buy from a dealer with a speaker trade-up policy. Many high-end stores do it - Circuit City even does it. Generally, for a year after your original purchase, you can trade in your speakers for full original purchase price credit against a more expensive set. Make sure you understand the t's and c's of any trade-in program: must the traded-in spkrs be in like-new condition? Must you return them in the original boxes with all of the documentation and packing materials?
