They are Garnet PA speakers made by a company out of Winnipeg. They have a simple crossover passing all frequencies to 4x12" drivers in series and a high pass filter (capacitor) to a volume-controlled horn for high frequencies.
I do not want to replace these yet, nor do I want to have any more horn speakers as they are too directional.
In spite of the simple crossover, with the volume control they seem to blend well with other speakers, and in the worst case I can always change the crossover (I don't know if you can timbre match horns to other tweeter designs).

That brings me to where I'm at, looking for a good, mid-fi centre channel because my current one is just too wimpy (Ever After - the fireworks sound like a tuner off-station instead of nice crisp explosions). But what I've been finding is there's lots of stuff at $300 to $350 CDN, and lots at $2500 and up, but nothing around $1200. I appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks - BB
