speaker buzzing, ohms mismatch, please help

Thanks so much for the advice Alan. I was under the impression that the ohms rating of your speakers always has to match the ohms rating of you receiver. The fact that my center channel speaker is the only one that buzzes sort of reinforced this idea for me.

As for selecting a new (Dolby Digital) receiver, you suggested Yamaha over Pioneer. Aren't they both owned by the same electronics conglomerate or at least connected to the same distributor? Is the quality difference that substantial?
