Paradigm subs are an excellent choice. However, I'd steer clear of the JBL's. . .not to be a sound snob but you can get much better performance for the same (or just a bit more) money if you look. I've a HT system with Paradigm Phantoms being the heart of my system. I have a Mirage BPS 100i ten inch powered subwoofer that delivers amazing bass response. . .and like the Paradigms, at a price that won't bankrupt you----> I paid $275 for the Mirage and have done at least 10X that amount in damages to my apt. via constructive interference !
