Dipole/Bipole speaker placement for DD/DPL

In my home cinema i've build to optimize the system two dipool speakers from visaton. I've seen on the site of home theatre speaker placement examples that it is possible too place the dipole speakers together with the rear left/right monopole speakers.
But here come's the quistion...
How do I connect the speakers? Is it done by connecting them serial or parallel? Or do I need an adapter? Or do you recommend me too use only the dipole speakers.
My system is exactly the same as in figure 3 on http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~robinson/speaker-placement-room3.htm
Please help me out with this one!
