Yamaha RX-V595 and 4 Ohm center?

Tom,

I feel you should be okay with the 4 ohm center speaker - and leave the impedance switch to 8 ohms. The function of that switch is to reduce power output capability of the receiver when driving 4 ohm speakers... and that one center should not be a problem.

I have not priced the Yamaha, but I do place a healthy value on buying from a local dealer. Even if you can do better (mail order for the "Concert Series" version of the '595) you might not really be ahead if something goes wrong.
