Thanks for the info Michael. I take it you auditioned the CS400 over the CS300 and found it worth the about 30% more? I would tend to do the same thing as Center is so so important IMHO. The RT55s look to be the same speaker as the RT800 but without the tower and somewhat lower price. I have not compared them side by side, but now I will for sure. I kind of liked the tower concept over bookshelfs, but without subs in the towers, I guess I would sort of be getting faux towers.

I was hoping for some leads to web dealers cheaper than Crutchfield, frankly. They are always nice and have the stock on hand, and I have bought from them before, but I don't think they deserve to charge quite as high as they do. I wish OneCall.com handled Polk -- these guys will really deal and I have bought a lot from them. It's funny, you find dealers who only handle Pioneer and Toshiba, but not Yamaha -- I guess it is all in how they have set up their supplier relationships. I am hoping someone out there has a good Polk dealer contact.

I will audition this stuff at (!@*&$%) Circuit City, and just grit my teeth when I pass the DIVX display -- then buy it on the web -- that will be my part to help them get the message we don't need a divx big brother.
