Chris: I once had a pair of beloved Bose 901's (Series II) that I wanted to use in a pro-logic set up. I had a difficult time getting decent sound, and surround sound at all. Usually, I got two sets of mono signals, or the dialog was muffled. I finally called in the pro's and they said that the Bose equalizer did not get along well with the signal matrixing in DPL. Their opinion was that it just couldn't work.

But that was then. Not being an expert at all, maybe Dobly Digital would be OK? I would, though, definitely check it out.
Good luck!!
